Gloria Murray, Director

I started Murray Associates in 1998 with a clear vision in mind. That vision is still as clear to this day “To WOW our clients with our service and ensure we do everything we can to help them improve their business”. I have a great team of motivated people who are as dedicated to this vision as I am.

I quite simply love working with people and helping them to improve their business with maximum results. I get a real buzz from seeing a business grow from strength to strength.

I also love to relax in my garden and I enjoy growing my own veg. However with a quarter acre of ground to upkeep there’s more work than relaxation!

Gerry Murray, Business Development Manager

The best bit about working with Murray Associates for me is being part of the team involved in our seminars and forums we host on the West and East coasts. I love to present a seminar to a room full of dedicated people, it’s a great feeling!

Back in the office, I am a busy man being responsible for the marketing of the company and organising events.

I love being involved with music and in particular seeing and hearing new bands particularly at music festivals. But have to say I do find it difficult to tear myself away from work but Gloria is working hard to ensure I break that habit fast!

I originally worked with Murray Associates in 2005 when Gloria was my client in my self-employment days. I moved on a year later and in 2009 I came back! What can I say??

I love the fact that, with Murray Associates, I am given a blank canvas to develop myself and the company whenever I see an opportunity. I love building relationships with our clients and being part of something special. I also get ample opportunity to laugh at Gerry, well you have to have fun at work!

Away from work I love to go for long walks and discover new places. I also love my holidays abroad even though I get burnt every time!

Deborah Blackburn, Trainee Accountant

I started with Murray Associates in June 2010 working part time while doing my degree. It was great to have proper hands on experience while learning at the same time. I spend most of my time concentrating on client's bookkeeping, payroll and VAT returns. I like the variety of my role and now that I am full time I can't wait to get more involved in accounts preparation and all the other aspects that come with working with Murray Associates.

I enjoy keeping fit and have recently joined a gym. The rest of my time is spent with family and friends.
